Open Studio – studio idakumori

Are you looking for a membership in an inspiring, personal ceramics studio with plenty of peace and quiet? Then you’ve come to the right place. With only a few members, you’ll find a calm and welcoming atmosphere that allows you to fully focus on your creative projects. The studio is located in Alstetten, just a 3-minute walk from the tram and the S-Bahn.

Calm and cozy, funtional space

I share my studio as an open workspace with a maximum of 10 members, so there is plenty of space for you to work at your own pace. You can sign up for one of the two pottery wheels either spontaneously or in advance and enjoy working in peace. There are a maximum of 3 people in the studio at the same time (2 on the wheel, 1 glazing or handbuilding).

Variety of materials

You can choose from different types of clay and porcelain for wheel-throwing and handbuilding. A wide selection of glazes gives you many creative possibilities.

Warm studio athmosphere

The studio offers a cozy atmosphere that invites you to work in a relaxed and focused way. And if you need a break, you can make yourself a cup of tea and sit on the terrace, watch the sunset and recharge.

Thanks to the small number of members, I can give you personalized guidance tailored to your needs. 

Member discount

If you have not taken a pottery course before, you can join my intensive course. After 5 weeks, you’ll be ready to start your membership! When booking a membership, you receive a 10% discount on all courses.

Prices
(included: tools, tea, etc. / not included: clay)

3 months: CHF 200 / month
6 months: CHF 180 / month
( + 3 hours per half year “bring a friend”)
12 months: CHF 150 / month
( + 6 hours per year “bring a friend”)

Clay: CHF 25/kg weighed before throwing, incl. firing and glaze 
Porcelain and special clays: CHF 30/kg
Clay/Porcelain that is not fired does not need to be paid for, of course.

Open Studio Hours

Monday to Friday from 6pm (until open end)
(occasionally Monday + Friday full day)
Weekends + bank holidays: full day open
(except when courses take place)

Booking

Spontaneously or in advance via the Google Calendar.
